Noa Iacob,
age 10,
a middle-school
student in Ann
Arbor in the middle-
years alternative
program. She also
attends Hebrew
school at Beth Israel
Congregation: Noa won first place in her age group last year, but says she is
not really an artist. "I just draw sometimes," she says. "I'm in the sixth grade
and don't have a lot of time to draw." Noa is the daughter of Ana and Andrei
Iacob.
Noa's prize-winning entry and the 252 others in this year's contest will be
displayed at the Jimmy Prentis Morris Jewish Community Center in Oak
Park. On Dec. 4, between 2-4 p.m., prize winners will be honored during a
Chanukah party and Art Contest reception. The program will also feature a
family Chanukah concert led by Raquel Pomerantz Gershon, a menorah-
lighting ceremony and refreshments.
