Machon L'Torah will hold an ed-
ucational lunchtime conference
at Cigna Financial Services Nov.
29 at 12:30 p.m. Rabbi Avraham
Jacobovitz will lead a discussion
on "Smoking: Civil Rights vs.
Love Your Neighbor." The pro-
gram will be hosted by Mr. Stu-
art Selis and will include a deli

by Rabbi Jacobovitz Nov. 29 at 7
p.m. on "Chanukah An Histori-
cal Struggle, With Contemporary
Lessons" at Machon LTorah. For

lecture for the Russian outreach
division program Nov. 30 at 7:30
p.m. at Machon. The program
will start with an educational lec-
ture by Rabbi Jacobovitz on
"Chanukah: Who Won The War".
Mr. Roman Lundin will translate
the lecture into Russian simul-
taneously. Refreshments will be
served. There is no charge.
Machon L'Torati:has opened
up the fall semestOr for the Jew-
ish history lectuite series. The
next program will be held with
an educational lecture resented
by Rabbi Shmuel'Irons, dean,
Kollel Institute of Greater De-
troit, on "Masada and Mass Sui-
cide". The event will be held 9
p.m. Dec. 3 at Machon. There is

Yeshiva Beth Yehudah PTA's
annual Chanukah Carnival will
be Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
at the Sally Allen Alexander Beth
Jacob School, 14390 W. Ten Mile
Rd., on the corner of Ten Mile Rd.
and Church.
A new attraction will be a
hands-on, live animal display
from the Living Science Founda-
tion from noon to 3 p.m. There
will be carnival games and prizes
for tots to adults, as well as face
painting, craft projects for chil-
dren, lunch and snack choices.
