LAST YEAR at this time, Ann
Arbor resident Lily Laden was
hoping to purchase some hand
puppets for her grandchildren.
She couldn't find any she liked,
however.

couldn't find a sturdy puppet,"
she recalled. "Then, while I was
on vacation abroad in the spring,
I saw a line of puppets I liked. I
wrote the manufacturer and de-
cided to import."
Ms. Laden is offering the pup-
pets through her new Lambert's
Pastimes business. The collection
includes 35 characters, many
from children's fairy tales. For
further information, call Ms.
Laden, (313) 747-8228.
