Host Party

People 21 and over are invited to
the Jewish Federation's Young
Adult Division Pre-Thanksgiving
Party at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 23 at the
Birmingham Community House.
The event will feature the band
"Hot Ice." A cash bar and
munchies will be available. There
is a charge.
The Birmingham Community
House is located 3 blocks west of
Woodward Ave. and 3 blocks

Social Action
Singles Event

On Nov. 27, the Adat Shalom
Synagogue Social Action Com-
mittee will hold its first event for
single adults. From 3 to 6:30 p.m.,
the group will serve a meal and
play games at Genesis House II,
a shelter for women and their
children.
All single adult members of the
community are invited. They will
meet at the synagogue and car-
pool to the shelter from there. For

is being arranged by Adat
Shalom Synagogue with the co-
operation of Volunteer Impact.

Torah Center
Events Set

Bais Chabad Torah Center of
West Bloomfield has inaugurat-
ed a monthly Melava Malka pro-
gram, featuring Chasidic songs
and story-telling, works of Torah
and food.
The next Melava Malka of the
series will take place Nov. 19 at
8:30 p.m. at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Michael Shanker and will
include a kosher wine-tasting ex-
perience. For reservations, call

Bais Chabad also is planning
a Shabbaton in Toronto, Nov. 25-
27.
