Class Moves
The Midrasha Center for Adult
Learning has a change in sched-
ule for its Beyond Beginner
Prayerbook Hebrew Reading
class, taught by Ronit
Goutkovitch. The class will move
to Monday nights starting Nov.
28. Each week's session meets
from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the
Midrasha.
New students are welcome to
join the group at a prorated tu-
ition plus book fee. A one-time
complimentary audit is offered so
that prospective new students
can decide if the class is right for
them.
Ms. Goutkovitch's course is de-
signed for adults who can al-
ready read but wish to
understand the meaning of
prayers in the Shabbat liturgy.
Knowledge of the alef-bet and
some phonetic Hebrew reading
ability are prerequisites for en-
rollment. Midrasha also offers a
Total Beginner Hebrew Reading
class for those who have not yet
mastered the alef-bet. The class
meets on Thursday nights from
7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and is taught by
Susie Cook. New students are
welcome to join that class as well.
For information, call Nancy
Kaplan, (810)354-1050.
