Project Otzma
Program Open

Project Otzma is inviting young
adults to experience life on a kib-
butz, provide service in a Project
Renewal neighborhood or help
develop new settlements in the
Arava of the Galil in Israel.
Coordinated by the Jewish
Federation's Michigan/Israel
Connection, Project Oztina, is the
Jewish service corps in Israel for
young men and women, ages 20-
24. It offers a unique opportuni-
ty for young adults to learn about
the state of Israel while they con-
tribute in a variety of public ser-
vice programs for the Jewish
community.
Detroit has eight participants
in the program this year. They
are Rebecca Cook, Ronit Hoffer,
Greg Goldgeder, Adam Gold-
smith, Scott Ephraim, Oren
Golan, Carrie Newton, Loren
Shevitz. Applications are cur-
rently being accepted for the 10-
month learning/living experience
in Israel.

14, Rabbi Jacobovitz will speak
at noon in Oakland Center Mead-

At Wayne State on Nov. 14
from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the
Michigan/Israel Connection will
have an information table in the
Student Center Building. Rabbi
Antin will speak on "Redemption
- Resurrection" Nov. 15 at 12:30
p.m. On Nov. 16, Rabbi Ja-
cobovitz will speak at 12:15 p.m.
on "Remaining Moral in an In-
creasingly Immoral World." Both
will take place in the Hillel Con-
ference Room, 667 Student Cen-
ter Building.
All young adults are welcome

to 11 p.m. at the Lawrence Tech-
nological University Field House

Avraham Infeld, chairman and
founder of Melitz, will speak.

Archives
Seminar

The Jewish Federation's Jewish
Community Archives will hold a
seminar on archival preservation
at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 16 in the Max
M. Fisher Building. The program
is co-sponsored by the Jewish
Community Council, Jewish His-
torical Society of Michigan and
the Reuther library of Labor and
Urban Affairs of Wayne State
University.
