investor in Frankfurt. There, he,
his wife and daughter sur-
rounded themselves with beau-
ty. Colorful paintings decorated
the walls and a vast collection of
rare books lined their book-
shelves.
"I never had trouble with the
Nazis," he recalled.
That was until Kristallnacht,
Nov. 9, 1938. While his family
visited friends, the Nazis broke
into his home, bayoneting the
paintings and smashing the fur-

they wore on their clothing or
camp uniforms.
He clipped political cartoons
which capture the changing view
of the Holocaust in the decades
that followed. Also included in
the collection are stamps issued
for the camps or by governments
who decried the Nazi enemy.

for 48th

District Judge

"Nothing can replace legal expertise, common sense and life
experiences when performing the duties of a District Judge, I want
to take my experience and put it to work for our community7 1
Neil Colman

Candidate for 48th District Judge

Paid for by the Committee to Elect Neil Colman 48th District Court Judge,
Treasurer: Michael Freedman, 7150 Lindenmere Dr., Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301

until now!

Important Goals I want to achieve when
elected to our 48th District Court .. .

■ I would be tougher on criminals that prey upon the
citizens of our community.
■ I would like to institute a District Court based mediation
process and alternative methods of dispute resolution -
a cost saving measure.
■ I would like to institute an evening court on a biweekly
basis for traffic related matters which would create a more
efficient system to handle the court's caseload and in-
crease the court's revenues.
