Center on the Arts, four-part
Tuesday evening series will be-
gin Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Jim-
my Prentis Morris Jewish
Community Center. Sponsored
by the Boaz Siegel Culture Fund,
Center on the Arts will feature
area experts who will help par-
ticipants heighten their appreci-
ation of the cultural arts. The
program is offered free of charge
to the public.
The series opener, Nov. 1, will
highlight dance with instructor
Harriet Berg. A member of the
Marygrove College faculty, Ms.
Berg is founder and artistic di-
rector of the Festival Dancers and
the Madame Cadillac Dance The-
ater. Ms. Berg will focus her com-
ments on ballet, contemporary
and ethnic dance.
Irving Ritter, assistant direc-
tor of the Institute for Retried
professionals at the Jewish Com-
munity Center, will speak Nov.
8 on "Fine Tune Your Listening
Skills." Mr. Ritter, a conductor,
will acquaint his audience with
the musical score and musical
terminology and give tips on be-
coming a discriminating listen-
er.
Focusing on the theater, Eve-
lyn Orbach, director of the Jew-
ish Ensemble Theater, will
discuss on Nov. 15 "Going To The
Theater:" what to look for while
watching a theatrical perfor-
mance.
The series will conclude Nov.
22 with Sylvia Nelson, director of
the Janice Charach Epstein Mu-
seum/Gallery, who will speak
about the elements of painting.

and their family and friends will
be held Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. at the
