Are Discussed

"Bagels and Books," a new Wash-
tenaw County JCC series of dis-
cussions of a favorite Judaic book
led by an Ann Arborite, will begin
Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m., with a talk
by Shirley Norton, Judaic
librarian for Beth Israel Congre-
gaton since 1982.
Ms. Norton will discuss The
Uninvited Guest and Other
Jewish Holiday Tales, a book for
children ages 8 to 12 written by
Nina Jaffe with illustrations by
Elivia Savadier. In anticipation
of the JCC's annual Jewish Book
Fair, scheduled for Nov. 12-14,
Ms. Norton also will make rec-
ommendations for other chil-
dren's books to purchase for
Chanukah.
