terman mentions Forrest
Gump at least once a
week during his Top Ten
routine.
Last week, after Pres-
ident Clinton was given
a pin by the assistant
manager of a Dearborn
bookstore he was visit-
ing, the assistant man-
ager told a reporter,
"I feel like Forrest
Gump."
Yes, months after the
release of the Tom Han-
ks movie which has be-
come Paramount Pic-
tures' highest-grossing film of all time, passing
Raiders of the Lost Ark, the publicity machine for
Forrest Gump is still cranking. And six Southfield
residents couldn't be happier.
Longtime friends Pam and Steve Fishman, He-
lene Friedman, Elyse Tuttleman, and Eileen and
Derek Warshaw are partners in a new company,
Just Between Friends. Pam Fishman is serving
as president.
Since August, Just Between Friends has been
distributing three styles of "Forrest Gump for Pres-
ident" T-shirts and sweat shirts to hundreds of
stores across the nation. Already, thousands have
been sold.
The major distributors in the Detroit area are
the Half-Off Card Shops and Dunham's sporting
goods stores.
Despite the movie's enormous popularity, Ms.

Helene Friedman: Graduated from Berkley
High School in 1971. Single. Parent of a 10-year-
old daughter, Jodie.
Elyse Tuttleman: Graduated from Southfield-
Lathrup High School in 1973. Single. Employed
full time by K. Lefkosky & Vienna food wholesalers
in Detroit. Also does private catering.
Eileen Warshaw: Graduated from Southfield-
Lathrup High School in 1980. Married, with a 4-
month-old daughter, Dallas. Has a full-time law
practice in St. Clair Shores. Met her husband
through a Jewish News personal ad.
Derek Warshaw: Graduated from Oak Park
High School in 1980. Married to Eileen. Employed
full time in the banking industry.
