Parlor Meeting
For Masorti
A parlor meeting in support of the
Conservative (Masorti) Movement
in Israel will be held at the home
of Barbara and Irving Nusbaum
in Franklin Nov. 17. The Masorti
Movement includes 36 congrega-
tions, a youth movement serving
over 1,000 youngsters , summer
camp, day camps, programs to
teach basic Judaism to new Russ-
ian immigrants and s parapro-
fessional job training program for
Ethiopian immigrants.
The Nusbaums recently
chaired the Detroit area Israel In-
dependence Day Celebration.
Among their many leadership po-
sitions, Barbara Nusbaum is
president of JARC and was re-
cipient of the Heart of Gold
Award; Irving Nusbaum is a past
president of ORT and a board
member of the Hospice of South-
east Michigan.

Allan Warshawsky, president
of the Masorti Movement, will
speak about recent successes in
promoting the legitimate religious
rights of all Jews in Israel.

for families and individuals who may encounter anti-Jewish feelings.

Michigan Region, American Red Magen David for Israel. A fully equipped
ambulance was donated in loving memory by their family and friends to Magen
