temple. We think these concerts
are a way to spread goodwill
throughout the community."
Last year, a group of temple
members, interested in the con-
cert but unable to attend, bought
tickets and invited new Ameri-
cans to use them.
Because the BBSO has re-
served the sanctuary, which seats
1,000, for all six of its season's
concerts, tickets for the opener
can be purchased as part of a
package. Ticket prices for the first
concert and afterglow were low-
' ered this year to encourage tem-
ple members to bring guests, Ms.
Siegel said.
"We're excited about this open-
er because the music is so
tremendous and brings us a great
way to celebrate our anniver-
sary," said Felix Resnick, BBSO
conductor and music director.
"We want this to be an annu-
al, planned-on event that people
look forward to in the fall," said
Betsy Appleton, music commit-
tee co- chair. ❑
