MICHIGAN U.S. Rep. Joe Knol-
lenberg has been named a
"Guardian of Small Business" by
the National Federation of In-
dependent Business (NFIB), the
nation's largest small-business
advocacy organization.
The NFIB, which represents
more than 600,000 small and in-
dependent firms in all 50 states
including more than 24,000 in
Michigan, honors U.S. lawmak-
ers who vote favorably on key
small-business issues a majori-
ty of the time during a two-year
session of Congress.
A spokesman for the NFIB
said Rep. Knollenberg's small-
business voting during the 103rd
Congress was 100 percent on 10
