Jacalyn Newman and James Si-
mon were recently married at
Temple Beth El. Rabbi Richard
C. Hertz officiated. The bride is
the daughter of Gilda Barden of
West Bloomfield. The groom is
the son of Mrs. Peggy Kaplan of
Southfield and the late Eugene
Simon.

The matron of honor was Lau-
rie Rubin. The best man was
David Simon, brother of the

Following a two-week trip
down the coast of California from
