Caren, who plays an active role in the Women's Division and Business and Profes- sional Women, has been described as "a true and emerging leader" Honored by the Jewish Agency for Israel for his abilities and commit- ment, this past presi- dent of the Young Adult Division has demon- strated leadership qualities as a volunteer for the Allied Jewish Campaign and several communal organiza- tions. The Young Adult Division and our community are the beneficiaries of Suzan's energy and talent. The new YAD president has worked her way up through the ranks of Campaign and led outreach and educa- tional efforts for the division. Under the guidance of educators like Harlene Appelman, teachers in our Jewish schools and day care centers seek to provide youngsters with a head start toward lives of creativity and meaning. These three avid learners are at the Jewish Community Center's Child Development Center. A teacher's teacher -- that's how Harlene Appelman is viewed by her colleagues at the Agency for Jewish Education, where she is director of educa- tional services.
