Speakers, like Debbie Falk Salinger, urged funding for a variety of needs, from Jewish services to people with disabilities to Israel programs for teen-agers. Detroit sent hundreds of young people to Israel this summer for a mixture of work, study and fun. This group of high school students went under the auspices of Project Discovery. ,e
