Lori Brockman, a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in psycholo- gy and a thematic in Jewish stud- ies, will head the temple's newest \- youth program geared to young- sters in grades 6-8; she will also teach second grade in the reli- gious school. Ms. Brockman spent a sum- mer in Israel studying ancient re- ligion and Hebrew and working on an archaeological excavation in the Golan Heights. Currently, she is a substitute teacher in the Hazel Park School District and a ) part-time teacher at KinderCare in Northville. Melissa Maddin brings knowl- edge and experience as well to her new post as adviser to the Young People's Society and fourth grade Hebrew teacher. At Western Michigan Univer- sity, she was a freshman student III government dorm representative and Scholarship Chair of her / sorority; she also taught sixth grade Hebrew at Congregation of Moses in Kalamazoo.
