The use of a hearing instrument also evalu- ates the level at which warnings and sig- nals become obvious to the instrument user. Thus, he or she may respond ap- propriately to a crying baby, a ringing tele- phone or doorbell, a smoke alarm, or the screeching brakes of a moving car. There are also sounds in the environment (such as the singing of birds) which pro- vide a level of comfort and well-being to anyone who hears them. Whether sounds alert our survival instincts or encourage our sense of harmony in the world, they are as much worth listening to as human voices. At CRUZ HEARING AID SERVICE, Lathrup Village's foremost hearing aid center, we know that there are sounds that are worth hearing, and we are totally committed to providing the very best hearing health care. If you've tried hearing aids unsuccessfully in the past, or have avoided them because they didn't help some- one you know, let us help you discover the new generation of hearing instruments that are now available. We carry a variety of dif- ferent brands of hearing aids to best suit your individual needs. Please call us at 424-8450. We are conveniently located at 18899 W. 12 Mile Rd., in Lathrup Village. We would like to take this opportunity to wish our friends and readers a safe and happy Columbus Day! P.S. Wearing a hearing instrument reduces stress by lessening frustration at not being able to help. Paid for and brought to you as a public service by Felix Cruz.
