Both classes meet on Thursday nights from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Susie Cook will teach Total Be- ginner Hebrew Reading. This year, Mrs. Cook is teaching Ju- daica and Hebrew in the Fami- ly Education Program of Congregation Shir Tikvah in ad- dition to their Hebrew teaching at Midrasha. Ahuva Newman will teach To- tal Beginner Hebrew Conversa- tion. Ms. Newman also teaches Hebrew at Temple Shir Shalom and Temple Emanu-El. In addition, Midrasha will of- fer a class called Advanced Be- ginner Hebrew Reading, taught by Ronit Goutkovitch. This class will meet on Wednesday nights from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. starting Oct. 5. Aish Hatorah Study Groups Aish HaTorah's fall schedule will include three new informal study groups, called chavurot. These will meet in Huntington Woods, Bloomfield Township and West Bloomfield. The Bloomfield Hills chavurah will discuss "Relation- ships, What Can Torah Add." In Huntington Woods and West Bloomfield, a new six-part series titled "Jewish Fundamen- tals" will be taught. Developed by Rabbi Eric Coopersmith, nation- al director of the Discovery Sem- inar and author of Aish HaTorah's adult outreach and book, The Eye of the Needle, the series deals with dispelling myths and providing an understandable and well-defined format with which to understand what Ju- daism is and what it offers its ad- herents. The sessions are as follows: session #1 "The ABC's of Ju- daism;" session #2 — Five Levels of Pleasure; session #3 — Free Will; session #4 — Love; session #5 — Being an Intellectual; ses- sion #6 — Plan For Growth.
