Schreier-Rose
Dr. Alisa Schreier and Judah
Rose were recently married at
Congregation Beth Abraham and
Hillel Moses in West Bloomfield.
The bride is the daughter of
Gerry and Aaron Schreier of
Birmingham, and the groom is
the son of Esther and Rabbi Her-
bert Rose of Ocala, Fla. Officiat-
ing were Rabbi Irving Schnipper
of Congregation Beth Abraham
Hillel Moses, the groom's father
of Congregation Beth Shalom in
Ocala, and his cousin, Rabbi
David Rose of Temple Israel in
Kinston, N.C.
The bride's close friends,
Nancy Cohen of Oakland, Calif.,
and Dr. Susan Trotter of Arling-
ton, Va., were her maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were her sisters-in-
law, Debra Schreier of Chicago
and Eve Rose of Washington,
D.C. Her niece, Jocelyn Rose
Schreier of New York City, was
the flower girl. The best man was
the groom's brother, Ben Rose of
Brookline, Mass. Serving as ush-
ers were his close friends, Dr. Ben
Golub of Mamoroneck, N.Y., Joe
Greenblott of Washington, D.C.,
and Dr. Nicky Hyde of Orinda,
Calif. and the bride's brothers,
David Schreier of New York City
and Joel Schreier of Chicago.
The ceremony also was graced
by the participation of the
groom's grandmother, Mrs. Etta
Rose of New York City.
Following a honeymoon at the
Auyuittuk National Preserve on
Baffin Island in the Canadian
Northwest Territories, the cou-
ple will reside in Washington,
D.C. Alisa is a child psychother-
apist at the Accotink Academy in
Springfield, Va., and Judah is an
energy and environmental con-
sultant at ICF Resources in Fair-
fax, Va.
