Bowl Exhibit
Helps Hungry

Founders of the Empty Bowls
project are bringing together
bowls from around the country,
made by persons concerned about
world hunger. Each bowl will be
displayed with its story to illus-
trate how the project touched
those involved. The bowls will be
for sale with proceeds assisting
hunger programs, locally, na-
tionally and internationally.
The Empty Bowls exhibit will
open at Swords into Plowshares
Peace Center & Gallery, 33 E.
Adams, Detroit, on Grand Circus
Park, Oct. 30, with a reception
from 5 to 9 p.m. Even more than
seeing the bowls made by others,
visitors will have a chance to
make a bowl themselves.
The Empty Bowls exhibit will
continue through Oct. 27. The
Peace Center Gallery is open
Tuesday, Thursday and Satur-
day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For in-
formation, call Central Methodist
Church, 965-5422.
