Young Family
Shabbat Service







The Young Family Shabbat
Committee of Temple Emanu-El
will resume services Oct. 15. An-
drea Teeple will participate in
the service along with members
of the Young Family Shabbat
Committee. The service will be-
gin at 10:15 a.m.
The monthly Young Family
Shabbat services are designed
for families with children ages 2-
7 and are open to the communi-
ty. At each service birthday
blessings and a small gift will be
given to each child.
Monthly Shabbat services will
be held Oct. 15, Nov. 12, Dec. 10,
Feb. 25, March 25 and May 20.
A special Shabbat dinner and
program will be held Jan. 20 at
6 p.m.

Single Parent
Support Group

Adat Shalom Synagogue's Jew-
ish Family Living Institute and
national Council of Jewish
Women/SPACE for Changing
Families will co-sponsor a seven-
session support group for parents
coping with the special issues of
being a single parent due to di-
vorce or death. The programs will
begin, Oct. 9. continuing on Oct.
16, 23. and 30, and Nov. 6, 13
and 20. All sessions will run from
10 to 11 a.m.
