Richard Haiprin and Mary Beth
Stagner happily announce their
engagement.
Mary Beth, daughter of Gary
and Marion Stagner, is a grad-
uate of Central Michigan Uni-
versity and is employed at Ross
Roy Communications in Bloom-
field Hills. Richard, son of Stan-
ley and Shirley Haiprin, is a
self-employed attorney practic-
ing in Huntington Woods.

Program Set

On Oct. 9 at 2 p.m., the Jewish
Community Center of Metropol-
itan Detroit, along with Kroger,
Michigan Residential Care As-
sociation, The Jewish News,
Frank W. Kerr, Max. M. Fisher
Jewish Community Foundation
and Smith Barney, Birmingham
Branch, will host "A Father and
A Son" with guest speakers Kim
and Fran Peek at the
Maple/Drake Jewish Communi-
ty Center.
Kim was the inspiration for
Barry Morrow's movie Rainman.
Kim has a congenital brain de-
formity that caused him to be
highly intelligent in certain areas.
He is assisted by his father, Fran,
who will talk about the obstacles
that Kim had to overcome
throughout his life.
A reception with the Peeks will
follow. Free tickets are available,
but are limited to four per person.

Detroit Auxiliary of Alpha Omega
