Chamber is helping create part-
nerships between state and Is-
raeli companies.
According to the Michigan In-
ternational Trade Authority,
the value of state products ex-
ported to Israel in 1993 quadru-
pled to $129.4 million.
"With peace on the horizon,
Israel has the potential to be-
come an economic powerhouse,"
Mr. Traison said. "Israel has
scientific, inventive and busi-
ness brainpower in abundance,
and so does Michigan."
In addition to his involve-
ment with the American-Israel
Chamber of Commerce, Mr.
Traison is a member of the Is-
rael-Michigan Bilateral Trade
Commission.
