Rabbi M. Robert Syme officiated. Laura is the daughter of Carol and Don George of Davenport, Iowa. Jeff is the son of Janice Gitlin of West Bloomfield and the late Arlen Gitlin. Dr. Nancy Hassinger was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Dr. Beth Aver- beck, Dr. Loni Greene and Dr. Beth Valdivia. The flower girl and ring bearer were Leah and Jacob George. The junior bridesmaid was Karlie George. The groom's brothers, Dr. Scott Gitlin and Blake Gitlin, were best men. The groomsmen were Dr. Chris Friedrich, Dr. Dave Gilbertson and Dr. John Hotchkiss. Also participating in the cere- mony was the groom's grand- mother, Elaine Lifton of West Bloomfield. The couple are residing in Ohio where Laura is a gastroenterol- ogist and Jeff is a cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lindhurst of Battle Creek, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Youssef Yomtoob of Ypsilanti, and for- merly Albion. Honor attendants were Christy Lindhurst of Battle Creek, sister of the bride; and Michael Deal of Lansing, friend of the groom. The bride graduated in 1988 from Battle Creek Central High School and in 1993 from Western Michigan University. She is a substitute teacher in Monroe.
