Women's Division
Goes To Israel

In a display of support for Israel
as the nation moves toward the
21st century, the State of Israel
Bonds Women's Division has an-
nounced an intergenerational del-
egation to Israel Nov. 1-11.
Under the theme of "Bond
With Your Past and Your Fu-
ture," the delegation will have the
opportunity to share the chal-
lenges facing women of the '90s
in Israel, including those in the
fields of government, education,
business and social action.
Highlights of the 10-day tour
include visits to Jerusalem, Tel
Aviv, the Negev, which will be the
focus of an extensive day trip, and
Galilee, where delegates will
spend the night on a kibbutz.
The cost per person is
$2,025.00 including roundtrip air-
fare via El Al Israel Airlines from
New York, double occupancy at
the Hotel Laromme in Jerusalem
plus one night at Kibbutz Kfar
Blum, all breakfasts, some lunch-
es and dinners, touring and en-
trance fees. Tourist expenses in
Israel may be paid with Israel
bonds.

Young Adult
Mission Set

The United Jewish Appeal Young
Leadership Cabinet and the Jew-
ish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit are planning a one-day
mission to Washington, D.C., on
Oct. 4
The mission is for young adults
age 22-40. A tour of the United
States Holocaust Memorial Mu-
seum, a lunch program with U.S.
representatives on Capitol Hill
and a dinner briefing at the Is-
rael Embassy is planned.
There is a charge. Space is lim-
ited, and dietary laws will be ob-
served. For reservations, call

Yiddish Class
Series Starts

The Workmen's Circle/Arbeter
Ring will offer the Yiddish Lan-
guage Experience with Alva
Dworkin as the teacher. The se-
ries will start Sept. 21 and will
run for 10 weeks, meeting
Wednesdays from 7-8:30 p.m. at
the Workmen's Circle/Arbeter
Ring Educational Center, 26341
Coolidge, south of Eleven Mile
Road.
There is a fee. Please call 545-

tration.
