(225 gr.) each 3/4 cup beef stock 3 Tbsp. almonds, chopped Place the tomatoes, tabasco, chopped mushrooms and al- monds in a small bowl and mix well. Evenly spread this mixture on the steaks, roll the steaks and close the wooden toothpicks. Transfer to a lightly greased baking dish and pour on the beef stock. Place in a preheated oven (330 F or 170 C) until done (about 1 hour), basting occasionally with the pan liquids. Add water or ex- tra stock as needed. Serve hot. HONEY AND NUT ROLL 1/4 lb. (112gr.) parve margarine 1 lb. (450 gr) flour 2 Tbsp. each vinegar and oil 1/2 cup honey 1 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans 1 cup seedless raisins 1 Tbsp. poppy seeds Allow the butter to soften. Mix the flour, vinegar, oil and butter, adding just enough water and kneading well until the dough is an even consistency. Refrigerate for 30 minutes and roll out thin- ly. Trim a long, rectangular shape. Mix together the honey, nuts, raisins and poppy seeds. Onto the shorter edge of the rolled out dough spoon out a line of filling. Fold over and then repeat the spooning and folding process un- til all the ingredients are used. Place the roll on a greased cake pan and bake in an oven that has been preheated to 330 F (170 C) until done (about 13 hours). Serve warm or cool. FENNEL AND CUCUMBER SALAD 1 lb. (450 gr.) fennel 10 small radishes 3 small cucumbers 1/4 cup olive oil juice of 2 lemons 1/2 tsp. fresh mint, chopped salt and pepper to taste 1/2 tsp. chives, chopped Wash and dry the vegetables. Cut the fennel into narrow strips, the radishes into thin slices and the cucumber into small cubes. Place in a serving dish. Beat the oil and lemon juice together, add the mint, salt and pepper, and beat thorough- ly. Pour the dressing over the vegetables, toss and garnish with the chives. Serve well chilled. El c\
