New Director
For Metro Hillel

The B'nai B'rith Hillel Founda-
tions of Metro Detroit (HMD)
have appointed Jennifer Wasser-
man as program director. She as-
sumes the responsibilities of
working with the Metro Council
and campus boards to plan com-
munity and campus events, as
well as coordinating HMD out-
reach efforts. Jennifer received
her bachelor's degree in social
work from Eastern Michigan
University and is a native of the
Detroit area.
Ms. Wasserman replaces Neil
Gottheil, who has moved to Bowl-
ing Green, Ohio, to complete his
work in clinical psychology.

Metro Hillel
Plans For Fall

Hillel of Metro Detroit is looking
for students who want to be in-
volved in campus student boards.
Wayne State, LTU, and OCC stu-
dents should contact Jennifer

Oakland University students
should attend an open house/in-
troduction meeting Sept. 8 from
noon to 1 p.m. in Oakland Cen-
ter, Lower Annex 1.
The Metro Council, which is
made up of young adults 18 to 30
years old, has been working on
the fall calendar. Committees are
now forming for the 1994-95 year.

H.M.D.'s first event of the year
will be a Hayride/Bonfire/Line
Dance Oct. 2 from 6:45 p.m. to 10
p.m. at Wiards Orchard. For in-

Museum Tour
Is Planned

Congregation B'nai Moshe Men's
Club has planned a tour to the
United States Memorial Holocaust
Museum in Washington, D.C.,
which is open to the community,
for Dec. 11-12. The reservation
deadline is Oct. 3. Reservations are
now being accepted.
In addition to the Holocaust
Museum, the trip itinerary in-
cludes the B'nai B'rith Klutznick
National Jewish Museum, the
National Museum of American
Jewish Military History, the John
F. Kennedy Center for the Per-
forming Arts, and a luncheon on
Capitol Hill.
The cost is $425 per person
(double occupancy) and includes:
round trip air fare, ground trans-
portation, kosher meals, and ac-
commodations.
