Fortunately,"the environmen-

not act as a pathogen to plants.
And, since it does not grow at 37

After some 10 years of research
and development, the yeast prod-
uct is almost ready for marketing.
Americans have concentrated on
pome and stone fruit—apples,
peaches and pears, and the Is-
raelis on citrus. For the last three
years. a pilot packing plant has
been set up in Beit Dagan to test
the efficacy of the yeast product.
Picked fruit is sometimes sprayed
or drenched with the biofungicide

classes, teachers and students
live world apart, meeting only for
lessons and rehearsals, yet in the
Keshet Eilon program, all par-
ticipants take their meals in the
kibbutz's communal dining hall
and jointly enjoy such amenities
as the swimming pool and club
house. Furthermore, the Keshet
Eilon curriculum includes
archery lessons, where teachers
and students often participate to-

atmosphere it is not surprising
that the youngsters, in their teens
and early twenties, don't call their
teachers "maestro" as is custom-

The lack of formality is a gen-
uine reflection of the Keshet Eilon
curriculum, which offers an in-
