Research • The Wayne State University Center for Osteoporosis Re- search is seeking women to par- ticipate in a study which aims to prevent bone loss related to osteoporosis. Researchers are studying the use of a new in- vestigational hormone which has been shown in European studies to prevent post- menopausal bone loss without causing the usual side effects of anti-osteoporosis medica- tions. To be eligible, women must be at least 45, post-menopausal for between one and four years, not presently taking estrogen and have no history of or treat- ment for blood clots, breast can- cer, serious heart disease or osteoporosis.
