JPM Seniors
Make Plans

High Holiday services will be of-
fered at the JPM building for un-
affiliated senior adults. Dr.
Joseph Lewis will serve as can-
tor. Service will be held on Rosh
Hashannah and Yom Kippur.
The service schedule is: Sept. 5 -
6:45 p.m.; Sept. 6 - 9 a.m., 6:45
p.m.; Sept. 7 - 9 a.m.; Sept. 14 -
6:45 p.m.; Sept. 15 - 9:15 p.m.
Tickets are available at the
JPM registration desk. Call 967-
4030 for information. Prices vary
for members and non-members,
special prices for seniors.
A high holiday sing-along will
be held Sept. 19 at 1 p.m. Vivian
Stollman, director and accom-
panist, Sonny Lipenholtz, and
the JPM Chorus will present
High Holiday song session. Ad-
mission is free.
Mark E. Talisman will speak
on "Global Jewish Concerns,"
Sept. 12 at 12:45 p.m. No ad-
mission charge.
"Healthwise for Life" work-
shop (medical self-care for
healthy aging, will take place
Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. It is free; pre-
registration is required. All par-
ticipants will receive a copy of
Healthwise for Life, a medical
self-care handbook.
A Franklin Cider Mill trip is
set for Sept. 16. The bus will de-
part JPM at 12:30 There is a
charge.

Class Year

The Jewish Parents Institute, a
family-oriented secular alterna-
tive to traditional Sunday school,
will begin its 46th year of class-
es for children at the
Maple/Drake Jewish Communi-
ty Center Sept, 11 at 10 a.m.
JPI offers Jewish education,
holiday celebrations, b'nai mitz-
vah program, teen activities, and
adult programming. Children
from 3 years of age through 8th
grade are welcome.
