At Temple Shir Shalom . . . like David and Goliath
... possibility thinking, care, and spirituality have
meant success where others didn't think it possible.

Single parents, intermarried couples, blended
families, converts to Judaism . . . we see promise
and the potential for understanding and change
where others see problems. And when you look at
life that way . . . how can we miss?

In the two years since our inception, we've grown
from just 30 to almost 600 member families. With
open minds, open arms, and open hearts, we
welcome Jewish people from all backgrounds into
the Temple Shir Shalom family. We listen to your
different needs, and devote ourselves to doing
everything we can for you ... at the same time
cherishing what you can do for us. And when you
look at Judaism in that light ... how can we miss?

Holding Hebrew School only once a week
(on Monday, Wednesday, or Sunday) . . . so that
you and your kids see it as a pleasure rather than a
punishment. Guaranteeing single Bar or Bat
Mitzvah dates to each child who enrolls in our
school ... so that child knows that he or she is
special. And feels a sense of individual

accomplishment. Holding a tish, a question-and-
answer period, at the conclusion of every service
... so that personal concerns and questions about
the mysteries of our faith can be addressed. These
are just a few of the ways we make Temple Shir
Shalom special ... and when you make moments
into memories like that ... how can we miss?!?

On August 28 at 4:30 p.m., we're beginning
construction on our new building, which will be
located on Orchard Lake and Walnut Lake Roads
(yes, right where the sheep used to roam). Come
with us! And help us build a lovely future together.
