plebaum Jewish Parenting Cen-
ter has three upcoming fall
workshops. 681-5353.
Grand time for grandparents
begins on Sunday Oct. 2. For
three consecutive Sunday's par-
ticipants play games, make crafts
and listen to stories. This pro-
gram is open to children between
the ages of three and five.
Sharing Jewish life with you
children and grandchild is a one-
night program (Oct. 11) which of-
fers ideas for sharing Jewish
tradition with children.
Family keepsake allows each
family to create a quilt square
for a permanent display quilt. A
family scrapbook will also be
made.

Greenfield Village and the
Henry Ford museum in Dearborn
are two of the most well-known
sites in the area. Greenfield Vil-
lage showcases America's past
through restored homes of fa-
mous Americans. The museum
highlights collections from our
nation's past including the ear-
ly automobile.
*Me and My Grandchild, a
Jewish Community Center pro-
gram, is hosting a hayride, bon-
fire and music to "get the whole
family in the mood for Sukkot."
The event takes place on Sep-
tember 18 at Heritage Park, in
Farmington Hills. It begins at
6:30 p.m. and there is a charge.
*On October 4, 1994, guest-
speaker Mary Fron from Rocking
(raising our children's kids) will
be at the Maple/Drake JCC to
talk about grandparents raising
their grandchildren. Her discus-
sion begins at 7 p.m.
*Fall is a great time to drink
cider and munch on doughnuts
from the cider mill. There's one
in Franklin that opens after La-
bor Day and closes in early De-
cember. 626-2968. See cider-press
demonstrations, visit food stands
and watch the "big wheel" turn.
Foreman Orchards and Cider
Mill in Northville is also close. It
opens in the fall. 349-1256.
*Apples and Honey and Lots,
Lots More gives families, includ-
ing grandparents, the opportu-
nity to visit a variety of Jewish
communities around the world
for the fall holiday. Jewish Ex-
periences for Families is planning
the September 11 event at the
Agency for Jewish Education.
Food tasting, demonstrations,
dancers, crafts, storytelling and
music from around the world are
a few of the free family activities.
