at the bright California sun, he
admits he has never been happi-
er. Although this year L.A. Law
would be cancelled, Mr. Rachins
points out that the law firm of
McKenzie Brackman Chaney
Kuzak & Becker will be around
in reruns for many years to come.
"And as for myself, I have a lot of
projects to pursue," he said.
Presently, Mr. Rachins and his
wife, who just celebrated their
16th wedding anniversary, have
taken a Newberry Award win-
ning children's book and optioned
it for a screenplay. By Novem-
ber, production should be in the
works.
This summer, his son Robbie,
who is starting to prepare for his
bar mitzvah, will be attending a
Jewish camp in the Catskill
Mountains in New York. Mr.
Rachins and his wife will travel
around the East Coast.
"I think being on L.A. Law has
spoiled me," he smiled. "I have
been able to work at a job that I
love, and spend all my free time
with my family. That's really
what it's all about." ❑
