military, the Na-
tional Museum of
American Jewish
Military History
wants to hear from
you.
The museum is
preparing an oral
history archive
and exhibition on
"Women in the Military:
The Jewish Perspective,"
which is scheduled to open in
1997. Many World War II veter-
ans have contacted the museum,
but submissions from subse-
quent years have been few and
far between.
"No definitive figures exist, but
it has been estimated that dur-
ing World War ll, 2 percent of the
nurses and 8 percent of the oth-
er female members of the U.S.
