Women's Council
Elects Board

J

The B'nai B'rith Women's Coun-
cil recently held their annual in-
stallation of officers. The
installation was conducted by
Belle Ruben, past president of
the Women's Council.
Installed as the 49th president
of the Women's Council was Bar-
bara Goldsmith, past president
of Morgenthau Chapter. Also in-
stalled were Eadie Albion, Es-
ther Applebaum, Shirley Baker,
Belle Ruben and Evelyn Tichik,
vice presidents; Elaine Meyers,
recording secretary; Bertha Fis-
cher, treasurer; Shirley Baker,
counselor.

Women Plan
August Meeting

B'nai B'rith Women, Louis Mar-
shal Chapter, will meet Aug. 18
at 11:30 a.m. at the Zionist Cul-
ture Center.
Brunch will be served. A
speaker from the shelter for Jew-
ish abused women, Safe Place,
will be featured, followed by a va-
riety of games.
There is a fee. For information,

Campfire
And Sing-Along

Mat Shalom Synagogue will hold
its third annual FAO Campfire
and Sing-Along at 9:30 p.m., Aug.
20. For adults only, the event will
take place behind the synagogue
immediately following Havdalah.
American and Israeli folk
songs will be led by folksinger
Judy Goldstein, along with Lar-
ry Bassin and Cantor Howard
Glantz.
Dress casual and bring blan-
kets. In case of rain, the sing-
along will move indoors.

Machon Plans
Yeshiva Light

Machon L'Tohah will begin its
Yeshiva Light program for the
summer semester Aug. 15. Thp
Yeshiva Light program offers
classes given by Rabbis Eli Gor-
don, Menachem Z. Greenfield,
Avraham Jacobovitz, Shraga
Rothbart, Eli Yelen, and Shmuel
Zimmerman.
The program will offer a dai-
ly Minchah service at 8:15 p.m.,
class,-4,s at 8:30 p.m. and Ma'ariv
service will follow at 9:45 p.m.
