Exercise

* On Sunday, Aug. 14, Brighton
Hospital will host SummerFest
`94, an afternoon of family fun
and a celebration of recovery.
The event will feature food (or,
if you prefer, you can bring your
own basket of goodies), local disc
jockey Mark Hutchinson, a
speaker and a variety of games.
From noon to 3 p.m., the annu-
al Serenity Walk will take place
on the exercise trail that winds
through the woods along Lake
Serenity on the Brighton Hos-
pital campus. This is not a com-
petitive event, and walkers can
begin at any time during the af-

Cancer

* Gilda's Club — a free, non-
profit group for people with can-
cer, their families and friends
— is sponsoring a comedy night,
"Motor City Women of Come-
dy," to be held Sunday, Aug. 28,
at Mark Ridley's Comedy Cas-
tle in Royal Oak. Cocktails will
be served at 6 p.m. and the show
begins at 7 p.m. There is a
