Pastor of the Fel- lowship Chapel, on James E. Wadsworth Jr. Avenue (West Mc- Nichols) in Detroit, the Rev. Anthony each year invites a guest choir to perform at his congre- gation. This year's guest came from Israel. "It's part of our ministry to reach out to others," the Rev. Anthony said. "We work with persons of all faiths and with groups of various traditions." In addition to performing a concert at the Fellowship Chapel, the Efroni Girls Choir had a tour of Detroit, which included the Museum of African-American Singer Yifat Fellner. History and the Motown Muse- um. They were welcomed by rep- resentatives of the NAACP and the Jewish Community Council, and stayed overnight with church members. The Rev. Anthony, president of the Detroit branch of the NAACP, said the church last year hosted the Muungano Na- tional Choir of Kenya and is look- ing to bring in a group from Ethiopia next year. The church was founded in 1966 by the Rev. James Wadsworth. It hosts a regular pilgrimage to Africa, and fea- tures an extensive educational ministry and job-training pro- grams. ❑
