The festival features Team
Druzhba 78 from the Ukraine,
which is billed as the world's best
under-17 hockey club. Its record
against North American compe-
tition is 190-9.
Team Druzhba will meet the
Southfield All-Stars at 8 p.m. to-
day following opening cere-
monies. The Fraser Falcons will
take on Team Druzhba at 8 p.m.
Saturday and the Falcons will
collide with the All-Stars at 10
a.m. Sunday.
Next weekend's slate is Team
Druzhba vs. the Mississauga
(Ont.) Senators at 8 p.m. Aug. 19
and 8 p.m. Aug. 20 and the Sen-
ators against the Falcons at 10
am. Aug. 21.

The registration deadline is Aug.
19 for traveling youth flag foot-
ball and soccer teams sponsored
by the Oak Park Recreation De-
partment.
Youngsters ages 10-12 who
are in grades 4-6 are eligible for
the flag football squad, which will
compete against teams from Fer-
ndale, Huntington Woods and
Pleasant Ridge.
Four divisions of soccer are of-
fered for youngsters in kinder-
garten through age 14. Oak Park
teams will compete against
squads from Ferndale, Madison
Heights and Pleasant Ridge.
Fees for both flag football and
soccer are $25 for Oak Park res-
idents and $30 for non-residents.
