Dr. Robert Yellan has been
named vice president of legal and
governmental affairs at the De-
troit Medical Center (DMC). Pri-
or to his new appointment, Dr.
Yellan was vice president of gov-
ernmental and regulatory affairs
at the DMC.
In his new position, Dr. Yellan
will have executive responsibil-
ity for overseeing a new DMC in-
house corporate legal affairs
department. This will be in ad-
dition to his current responsibil-
ities of directing the medical
center's state and federal gov-
ernmental relations program.

The Michigan Association of Os-
teopathic Physicians and Sur-
geons Inc. granted a presidential
citation to Dr. Jerry Margolis
for his dedicated performance as
speaker of its House of Delegates
since 1988.
He was cited for immeasurable
contributions that have added to
the quality and organization of
the proceedings at the House of
Delegates which have set new
standards of excellence.

Dr. Richard Arden, a facial
plastic surgeon from Farmington
Hills, has been named a fellow of
the American Academy of Facial
Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery. Dr. Arden is one of the
3,000 members who comprise the
world's largest association of fa-
cial plastic surgeons — the physi-
cians performing cosmetic and
reconstructive surgery of the face,
head and neck. Dr. Arden main-
tains his office at Hutzel Health
Center, Warren and Lahser Med-
ical Building in Southfield.

Dr. Marcus is the son of Silvia
Marcus and the late Fred Mar-
cus. He is a graduate of Groves
High School. Dr. Marcus has
been honored as a James B. An-
gel Scholar. He has served on the
Inteflex policy committee and
was a board member on the ad-
missions committee. In 1993 he
received the U-M Medical Cen-
ter Alumni Scholarship.

Marc Zumberg of Farmington
Hills. Dr. Zumberg is the son of
Allan and Eileen Zumberg. He is
a graduate of Southfield-Lathrup
High School and graduated from
U-M with a bachelor's degree hi
neurobiology. He will pursue his
residency in internal medicine at
the University of Florida.
