Is Protested
London (JTA) — Thousands of
supporters of an extremist Mus-
lim group that has openly called
for the killing of Jews are plan-
ning to hold an international con-
ference here next month.
The Aug. 7 event, for which
some 12,000 tickets have been
distributed, has sparked protests
from members of Parliament and
expressions of concern from the
Jewish community.
Members of Britain's Muslim
community of 1.5 million, the vast
majority of whom oppose radical
fundamentalism, have also ex-
pressed concern.
