On Aug. 2 at 1 p.m., meet public
health nurse Sharon Tomaszew-
ski of the Oakland County Health
Department of Institutional and
Human Services at a question
and answer session. Light re-
freshments will be served. There
is no charge.
Broadway show tunes and Yid-
dish melodies are part of the
Wednesday Afternoon Social held
from 1 to 3 p.m. Refreshments
are served.
Erev Shabbat services will be
held Aug. 5 at 12:30 p.m. Cantor
David Guttman will lead the ser-
vice.
A program for older drivers
will be offered Aug. 8 from 10
a.m.-3 p.m. and Aug. 15 from 10
a.m.-3 p.m. at JPM. There is a
charge. This program will include
eight hours of classroom instruc-
tion that refines existing skills
and develops safe, defensive dri-
ving techniques. Advanced reg-
istration is required.
A summer concert will be
staged 12:30 p.m. Aug. 9 at Trow-
bridge. Refreshments will be pro-
vided at no additional cost. There
is limited seating on the bus; ad-
vanced reservations are required.

Association

MATTHEW AARON STERN
of Ada, Mich, received the high-
est award in Scouting, the Eagle
Rank. Matthew's public service
Eagle project was the design and
construction of a vehicular and
pedestrian bridge on the grounds
of the Kent County Conservation
League. Matthew also has re-
ceived the Ner Tamid Religious
Award.

ANTON EVAN GOLD, gradu-
ate of Massey High School, Wind-
sor, has been accepted at New
York University's Tisch School
for the Arts to study film direc-
tion.
