Conferences

Problem Solving
Program Set

Machon L'Torah, as part of its on-
going Torah Exchange programs,
will host three lunchtime confer-
ences during the week of Aug. 1.
All discussions will be led by
Rabbi Avraham Jacobobvitz.
There will be a deli lunch served
at each of these conferences;
reservations are required
The first conference will take
place Aug. 1 in the offices of
Cigna Financial, 26555 Ever-
green, Travelers Building, 16th
floor. The topic for this conference
will be "The Rungs and Wrongs
of the Corporate Ladder."
On Aug. 3, a conference will be
held at Henry Ford Hospital, con-
ference room K14. The topic will
be "When Emergencies Become
Routine".
A lunchtime conference will be
held Aug. 4 at the offices of Beau-
mont Medical Building, 6900 Or-
chard Lake Rd. The topic will be
"Minding the Meaning".

Jewish Vocational Service will in-
troduce Ideation International,
Inc. at a program highlighting
Ideation's use of the Theory of In-
ventive Problem Solving August
3 at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek.
The presentation is open to en-
gineers and scientists from the
former Soviet Union. Registra-
tion begins at 6:30 p.m., followed
by the seminar from 7 - 10 p.m.

Cruise Set
By Young Adults

The Jewish Federation Young
Adult Division will cruise on
the Detroit River 8 p.m. Aug. 20
aboard the Diamond Belle River-
boat.
The two-hour cruise will fea-
ture dance music by disc jockey
Sean Solan, snacks and a cash
bar. Casual attire is requested.
The Diamond Belle will be
docked at Stroh's River Place, one
mile east of the Renaissance Cen-
ter, off Jos. Campau. Lighted
parking will be available.

Judaicollege
Summer Class

Machon L'Torah is starting Ju-
daicollege summer sessions. The
first class will take place Aug. 1
at the Machon Learning Center,
15221 West 10 Mile at 7 p.m.
Rabbi Avraham Jacobovitz will
lead a discussion on "Wanted:
Ladies and Gentlemen." A ques-
tion and answer session will fol-
low; refreshments will be served
at no cost.

Meeting Set

The next meeting of the Charles
Shapiro Post of the Jewish War
Veterans will be held July 31 at
9 a.m. at the Jewish War Veter-
ans Memorial Home.

view of the 1994-95 budget and
program.
