Mr. Weiss was a 3.95 grade-point-av- erage student in high school. The 6-foot-3, 175-pounder earned honorable mention all-di- vision honors in the Western Lakes Activities Association fol- lowing his senior basketball sea- son. In 20 games, he averaged 12 points and 8.4 rebounds and he had 23 assists, 19 steals and 19 blocked shots. Mr. Weiss made 36 percent of his 3-point shots and he was a 51 percent marks- man from the field. His top performances includ- ed 22 points and nine rebounds against Waterford Mott, 21 points and 12 rebounds against Livonia Franklin, 18 points and 10 rebounds against Walled Lake Central, 16 points and 12 re- bounds against Westland John Glenn and 13 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks against Walled Lake Western.
