Dr. Shabtai will speak on "Ter- rorism in the '90s: The Good News and the Bad." A native of Israel, Dr. Shabtai served in the Israel Defense Forces and the Israel Foreign Service. He taught political sci- ence at several universities, was a senior fellow at the Adlai Stevenson Institute of Interna- tional Affairs at the University of Chicago, directed counter-ter- rorist studies for the California- based Office of Special Services and contributed to the security preparations for the 1984 Olympics held in Los Angeles.
