If you just feel like having a ham-
burger or cheeseburger, La Fen-
di has them, too, along with its
own pita burger ... Also beef or
chicken chil-frys sauteed with
onions, green peppers and toma-
toes, and bar-b-q baby back ribs
($7.95 half order, $13.95 whole
order), bar-b-q chicken half,
$6.95, and a rib and chicken com-
bination.
The hours at La Fendi are
most important because it is one
of the very few restaurants with
such late hours...Sunday
through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1
a.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11
am. to 3 am. ... Because of them,
people come from everywhere, es-
pecially with such an easy-access
location via 1-696.
Food at La Fendi is prepared
hourly ... which says a lot for its
freshness ... Quality is a big
thing and nothing is frozen ...
The meat purveyor comes six
days a week and the produce sup-
plier every other day.
Being heavy on vegetarian and
natural foods is also a trademark
of pride with Tony and Raad.
Waitpersons, male and female,
wear tuxedo accessories and
waitresses must have their hair
back or up ... No tresses hanging
in front or on the sides like at
some places where this unsani-
tary appearance is strangely al-
lowed ... Service is so important
that meetings are conducted
every two weeks...The waitstaff
tells about customer requests and
are told how their guests can best
be satisfied.
