Sets Installation

Barbara Goldsmith will be in-
stalled as president of B'nai B'rith
Women Council of Metropolitan
Detroit at the 49th installation
dinner 6:30 p.m. July 13 at Hoa
Kow Inn, West Bloomfield.
Installing officer will be Belle
Ruben, past president of BBW
Council.
Mrs. Goldsmith is a life mem-
ber of B'nai B'rith Women, past
president of Morganthau Chap-
ter and was membership vice
president of BBW Council. She
also is the docent vice chairman
of the Detroit Institute of Arts.
Also being installed are: vice
presidents, Belle Ruben (Mor-
ganthau Chapter), Evelyn Tichik
(Jewish Professional Network),
Shirley R. Baker (Detroit
B &P/Pisgah), Eadie Albion
(Zeiger Chapter), Esther Apple-
baum (Louis Marshall/Israel
Chapter); recording secretary,
Elaine Meyers (Galilee Chapter);
treasurer, Bertha Fischer (Mar-
shall/Israel Chapter); and coun-
selor, Shirley R. Baker, (Detroit
B&P/Pisgah Chapter).

ing for the entire Jewish com-
munity, wil be sponsored by the
Washtenaw County Jewish Com-
munity Center on July 15. Fam-
ilies will join from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
— finishing before Shabbat be-
gins — for a picnic dinner at the
Pavilion area of Gallup Park on
Geddes Road.
Participants should bring a
dinner (grills are available),
Shabbat candles, plates, cups,
silverware, a tablecloth, and a
parve dessert dish to share.
