Hebrew Classes
At Midrasha

Beginning July 12, Midrasha
Center for Adult Jewish Learn-
ing will offer a light summer
adult conversational Hebrew
group taught by Ahuva Newman
on Tuesday nights from 7:30-9:30
p.m. The group will meet for four
to six weeks, depending on the
schedules of those who sign up
for it. There is a tuition fee.
Sessions will consist primari-
ly of conversation (no formal text-
book), on a "continuing beginner"
level. New students are welcome
to join the group during this sum-
mer session, if it matches their
level of conversational Hebrew
skill. The group will meet at the
Midrasha, located in the AJE
building, 21550 West 12 Mile
Road, Southfield.
For information, prospective
students are encouraged to call
the Midrasha office, 354-1050.
If you are unsure of your He-
brew level, you may leave a mes-
sage at Midrasha, and the
instructor will call back.
Midrasha will offer a new Total
Beginner Conversational Hebrew
class, also taught by Ahuva New-
man, on Thursday nights begin-
ning in September. There will be
a fall open house for adult
Hebrew classes at Midrasha Aug.
29 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Lodge B'nai B'rith will host a cel-
ebration dinner program July 21
at Adat Shalom Synagogue to
honor its 50-year members and
to reaffirm the ideals of B'nai
B'rith, since its birth 150 years
ago.

JWV Plan
Hospital Party

The Department of Michigan of
the Jewish War Veterans and the
Jewish War Veterans Auxiliaries
will hold their annual joint De-
partment Hospital Party at the
Battle Creek Veterans Adminis-
tration Medical Center July 10.
A chartered bus will leave at 8
am.
A deli picnic lunch will be
served outdoors to the patients
at noon. An orchestra will enter-
tain; gifts will be given.
