Hosts Lectures
For four consecutive Monday
evenings, beginning July 11
Chabad House of Flint will fea-
ture a series of lectures titled
"Everyday Kabbalah for the
Everyday Jew" in the Chabad
House, 385 Callings Road, Flint,
at 7:30 p.m.
Guest lecturer for these
evenings will be Rabbi Herschel
Finman of Detroit. Rabbi Finman
uses basic principles of the Kab-
balah and Jewish mysticism for
stress and crisis management
counseling, bereavement ther-
apy, as well as for conflict
resolution and interpersonal re-
lationship development.
Topics for the four lectures will
be: "The History and Develop-
ment of the Kabbalah," "The
Man/Woman Relationship,"
"Dealing with Stress and De-
pression," and "Kabbalistic Pre-
dictions for the Future."
All lectures are open to the
public; there is no charge and no
prior knowledge of Jewish mys-
ticism is required.
Society Tours
State Archives
The Jewish Genealogical Society
of Michigan will host a day of spe-
cial guided tours of genealogical
resources available in our state's
capital July 13. The group will
travel to Lansing for guided tours
of the Library of Michigan and
State Archives of Michigan start-
ing at 10:30 a.m.
The day will begin with a
guided tour of the Abrams Foun-
dation Historical Collection.
Research time will be available
in the archives until 4 p.m. and
the library until 6 p.m.
