Jazz Sounds
In Concert

The atmosphere and sound of live
jazz can be experienced on three
weekends in July at the Bloom-

The Bloomfield Township Pub-
lic Library, the city of Bloomfield
Hills and the Friends of Bloom-

will sponsor three Sunday after-
noon concerts, which will begin
at 2 p.m.
On July 10, trumpet master
and educator Marcus Belgrave
will perform. He is co-founder of
the Jazz Studies Program at the
Detroit Arts Complex.
The Brad Felt Quartet will
play on July 17. On July 24, Jerry
McKenzie's Sound Crew, featur-

will perform.
Concerts are free to the public,
rain or shine. The musicians will
perform outside weather per-
mitting, or alternatively in the li-
brary's community room. People
are welcome to bring lawn chairs
or blankets; the library will serve
free lemonade.

continue the outdoor summer
concert series at 1 p.m. July 12
with Tony Ruso and his band.
